What I Wore...11.8.15

What I Wore - 11.8.15...

The weather this fall has been on the warmer side here in Montana, so I have had neither the need, nor the desire to switch over my closet to my fall/winter wardrobe.
That is up until this past Saturday, when I spent most of the day cleaning out my closet, trying on my fall & winter clothing items to see what still fits, and even styling a couple of new looks.

This outfit is the one I wore to church and then to run errands this past Sunday, 11.8.15. A few of the items are newer purchases, so creating a look using a combination of my older pieces, along with the new ones is always a lot of fun. The weather has been overcast the past several days, so unfortunately I haven't been able to snap any IRL pics, however, I did create the outfit on Polyvore, so you can at least get an idea of what it looked like. :)

The Details:

*Madewell Oversized Cargo Vest - I've had this one since it debuted on the website, and have worn it numerous times over the past several months. The quality is excellent, and it has become a staple piece in my wardrobe. Similar here in olive, here in olive covert, and here.

*Prairie Underground Long-sleeve Tunic Tee (purchased on Ebay last year) - Similar here and here.

*Vince Cropped Baby Bell Jeans (purchased on Ebay a couple years ago) - LOVE the cropped flare jeans! They really help to balance out your silhouette, and look super cute with heels or booties. Similar here, here, and here.

*Madewell Military Stripe Scarf - Similar here in green, here, and here.

*J.Crew MacAlister Zip Wedge Boots in faded chino. I scored these on super sale a couple weeks ago, and absolutely LOVE them! They come in whole sizes, so I sized up, and the fit is excellent, especially with socks. I've noticed they keep popping back on the J.Crew website just about every day in various sizes, so keep checking for your size to show up if you're interested in getting a pair.
I highly recommend them if you can catch them as a popback!
Similar here in dark taupe, here in slater taupe suede, and here in taupe, or even chestnut would work, too.

*Gold Crossbody Bag purchased at TJ Maxx a few years ago (not the one pictured in the set) - Similar here, here in gold, and here.

*Michael Kors Gold 'Camille' Watch - I received this as a gift from my husband a couple years ago, and still absolutely adore it to this day. I wear it on an almost daily basis, and always receive numerous compliments any time I do. Similar here, here, and here in gold.

*Anthropologie Apiarist Drops - I bought these on sale, along with the matching pendant necklace a few months ago. I love how dainty they are, the combination of gold & silver, and I think the little bee adds a touch of whimsy without being too childish.
Similar here, here, and here.

*Madewell Mini Bow Ring and Facet Stacking Rings - I love the jewelry at Madewell, especially the various rings they offer. Granted, these are definitely more of 'costume' jewelry pieces, as the gold can tend to rub off after awhile, and that's why I purchase them on super sale.
Similar here, here, and here.

How has the weather been where you live? Have you done the seasonal wardrobe switch out yet? Did you discover any new outfits like I did? Have you purchased any new items recently?
Please do share...I always love to hear from you! :)

  1. This is a great Fall outfit, cozy and looks perfectly put together. I'm always trying to think of ways to incorporate Madewell items into my outfits. They have such fun pieces. I've been eying the Block-Stitch Cable Sweater and I can see it working well with a vest. Thanks for linking to some options for the cargo vest.

    1. Thank you maryeb! I can't believe what a staple in my wardrobe the vest has become. It goes with so many different items, and 'breathes new life' into older clothing, too. I especially love having the option of it in fall when we have those days that are chilly, but not quite cold enough for a coat. I hope you're able to find one that works for you! :)

    2. Hi maryeb! I'm not sure what size you would take in the Madewell cargo vest, but there is an XSmall online here right now. It's 20% off with code EXTRA20, too. :)
