What I Wore...

What I Wore...
This is the outfit I wore on 10.25.16 to substitute teach the 1st & 2nd grade class at our local private Christian school academy. The weather was rainy, dreary, and cold, so I felt like wearing super comfy clothes, but still needed to dress appropriately and be 'teacher presentable' for my students and the school staff. This outfit fit the bill nicely, and I received numerous compliments from not only other teachers, but my students as well.

The Details...

Shop It...

*Johnny Was Raven Raw Seam Vest - love everything about this vest...
the beautiful embroidery details, longer length, and excellent quality. I managed to snatch one up at a fabulous price when Amazon ran one of their 'one-day only extreme markdown special deals', and now I'm keeping my eye out for more deals on the Johnny Was line.
This particular vest is sold out for the time being, but there are similar options here and here.

(On back at the neckline)

*Theory 'Helona' V-Neck Silk Blouse - this blouse is so much prettier and more flattering on IRL than the online website photo would have you believe. The Theory blouses in this style, as well as similar ones I have tried on, are all cut to be incredibly complimentary to the female form, and of course the quality is excellent, too. Just like the Eileen Fisher line that I have mentioned many times before, Theory tends to be on the spendy side, but if you keep an eye out you can get some really fantastic deals on their pieces. -
Similar here, here, and here.

*Madewell Slim Boyjean in Trent Wash - in my opinion, this particular pair are cut slimmer than the other boyjeans I have tried at Madewell. I did get my 'normal' jean size, but consider them to be more of a skinny jean cut than boyjean. Love the dark black color, and wear them quite frequently, too. This particular style are sold out, but there are similar options here and here.

*Michael Kors 'Camille' Gold Watch - similar less spendy option here.

*J.Crew Pavé Link Bracelet - this truly is a classic piece that will be worn for years to come.
I've had mine for many, many years and wear it at least several times a week.

*Longchamp Large 'Le Pliage' Tote in black - one of my favorites. The bag is excellent quality, and holds a plethora of personal's my go to whenever we take a road trip, or I'm going to be out and about for the day and need to take along more than what fits in my crossbody bag.

*Sundance Ashville Boots in black - love, love, love these boots! The quality is excellent, they have a hidden wedge to give you a little bit of 'lift', and they are comfy, too! I picked up both colors on sale a few months ago, and have worn them at least several times a week since then. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10, depending on the brand/style of shoe/boot, and I purchased these in a size 41, which turned out to be perfect. Highly recommend them!

***Not shown in the photo, but I also wore my J.Crew Long Downtown Field Jacket in dark forest. Highly recommend this jacket! It works well to keep the rain at bay, is very comfortable, and the quality of the jacket itself is excellent.

That's it for now...have a lovely day! :)
