Today I Will Make a Difference...

Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference.

I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I will make a difference.

I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. Victoriously. No failure is fatal. It’s OK to stumble… I will get up. It’s OK to fail… I will rise again. Today I will make a difference.

I will spend time with those I love. My spouse, my children, my family. A man can own the world but be poor for the lack of love. A man can own nothing and yet be wealthy in relationships. Today I will spend at least five minutes with the significant people in my world. Five quality minutes of talking or hugging or thanking or listening. Five undiluted minutes with my mate, children, and friends.

Today I will make a difference.

My Plexus Journey to a Healthier Me...

After witnessing firsthand the success that several of my friends have had with Plexus, I made the decision a couple weeks back that I, too, would give it a try.
Here's why...

To say that my life has been extremely stressful the past couple of years, would truly be an understatement. Life on the home front has been a chaotic whirlwind filled with tons of changes, overwhelming stress, highs and lows, job loss, health issues, and much more... needless to say, my overall health and well-being have paid the price.
At the end of my rope, frustrated and fed up by having to deal with constant fatigue, pain from osteoarthritis, significant weight fluctuations, as well as multiple dietary restrictions due to digestive issues, I decided to take the Plexus challenge, and placed my order.

I have now been enjoying my 'Pink Drink' first thing each morning, followed by the BioCleanse, and ProBio5 as directed throughout the rest of the day. I will say that so far I have found that my energy level has increased a good amount, I sleep much better at night, my digestive issues have improved tremendously, my blood sugar levels have stabilized - reducing my cravings, as well as suppressing my appetite, and my skin has begun to develop a healthy glow.

Now I know from experience, that it takes time and commitment to make positive changes, especially if you want them to last. Plexus is not a quick fix, a fad, a diet, or a meal replacement plan. The products are supplements...thus they are "supplementing" something that either:

1) Your body is deficient in.
2) You aren't getting in your diet.
3) Your body doesn't produce.

Plexus products are used as tools to change your lifestyle and eating habits for the better, and I am on a Plexus Journey to a Healthier Me. 💕

Leave me a comment below, or shoot me an email at if you're interested in starting your own Plexus Journey, or if you'd simply like some more information about the products.
Plexus does offer a 60-day money back guarantee if you aren't happy with your results, so what have you got to lose, other than excess pounds, fatigue, and digestive issues?
You can also Shop My Plexus Store if you want to begin your journey right now. 😊💕😊

***Discounts are available on the products by joining up as an Ambassador - you get to order yourself a Welcome Pack - (awesome deal on these) - or as a Preferred Customer.

Life Simplified: Montana Outdoor Wedding - 7.21.17...

This past Friday evening, I had the privilege of attending the outdoor wedding of my dear friend's daughter, and her handsome beau. The outdoor venue could not have been any lovelier...held in a quiet, remote location in the foothills, the bride and groom said their wedding vows under a beautiful wooden arbor, nestled in the trees of the surrounding forest. Add to this, the picture perfect weather, scrumptious home baked treats, and warm fellowship of family and friends...
it all made for a truly lovely and enchanted evening.

The beautiful bride and her handsome prince...

The adorable flower girl...

What I Wore...

*Zara Maxidress circa 2012, if memory serves me correctly - If you're looking for a similar style, I quite like this one, this one, and this one... it is indeed spendy, but gorgeous!

*J.Crew Crystal Gossamer Earrings - these are so pretty and sparkly in person...they have quickly become one of my favorites, and I wear them quite often, too.
Similar here, and several pair of the J.Crew version for sale here on ebay.

*Michael Kors 'Camille' Gold Watch - similar less spendy option here.

*J.Crew Classic Pavé Link Bracelet - this truly is a classic piece that will be worn for years to come. I've had mine for many, many years and wear it at least several times a week.
(Deal Alert: this one is 40% off today, with code MONDAY at checkout.)

*Lodis Leather Crossbody Bag in gold Cheetah. I took the strap off, and carried it as a clutch.

*Jack Rogers Zsa Zsa Jeweled Sandals in gold - hands down just about the favorite pair of sandals I own. I have a pair in both gold and platinum...wish I had bought at least another pair of each when they were available several years ago for back-ups, as well as a pair in silver with the jewels. Such is life, but I do still continuously keep my eye out for a pair on the resale sights. If you ever come across them in your size, don't hesitate... buy them! You will not regret it!
Similar here in gold, here, and here.

That's it for now...I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse of life in the 406. 💕😊💕

Shopping Simplified @ Nordstrom: The Anniversary Sale 2017 - What I'm Loving

Hello Everyone! It's time for another All Things Simplified Shopping post, where I take the work out of sale shopping for you! 💕 My 'simplified shopping' posts will include information on the deal or % off, promo-priced items, and/or sale markdowns, and/or my personalized picks for retailers that are running current sale promotions. This time the simplified shopping is at Nordstrom, where the Anniversary Sale is taking place until August 6th. The sale items tend to sell out quickly, so shop now to take advantage off the best selection. 😊

What I'm Loving...

*Mirzi B Merino Wool Sweater - I own this sweater in 2 colors, & absolutely love both of them. The sweater is not bulky, and makes an excellent layering piece, but also works great worn on its own.
*Woven Twill Tunic - another one that I own in 2 colors and love. This one feels scrumptious on, and it's the perfect length...great for layering under a jacket, too.
*Ryan Layered Silk Blouse - pair this one with the Edith Jacket.
*Ponte Fit & Flare Dress - so pretty! It reminds me of the Revisited Impressionist Dress that I reviewed here back in 2012.
*The Dre Slim Fit Boyfriend Jeans - I own a pair of these in burgundy, and they are one of my absolute favorites! Super comfortable and they wash well, too.

What are your thoughts on this sale? Do you own any of the items currently on promo? Is there any item you would recommend? Please do share...I always love hearing from you!

That's it for now...have a lovely day! :)

Life Simplified...#TBT

Thought I'd share a little 'Throwback Thursday' for today...
this is a photo of my eldest son and me, taken at his 1st birthday party in August of 1999.

I still have a hard time believing he is now officially an adult...
seems like just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital.
As I've said before, when I first had children, other moms would tell me that I should enjoy the time with them while they are little, because before I knew it, they would be all grown up. You know what? Those moms were right...time really DOES pass by so quickly! It may not seem that way when you are sleep deprived and overwhelmed caring for a new little person, kissing the scraped knee of one just learning to walk, keeping little hands out of everything they aren't supposed to be touching, and even dealing with temper tantrums at times, but trust me - those days will be gone before you know it. Please try your best to enjoy every will not regret it! :)

What Say You?

Hello there! I hope you are having an amazing week so far!
Just wanted to take a quick minute to pop in and let you know that I do have more posts coming up in the near future, but... as I do dip my toes back into the blogging pool, I would like to know what type of content you are most looking forward to having me share?
Of course, I personally love to chat about shopping and share my picks, as well as sales & deals taking place around the web. Recipe sharing is always fun, as are inspirational images, and taking you along on my new adventures is also one of my personal favorite things to blog about.
Is there anything in particular that you would like to suggest that I add to this repertoire?
What say you?

P.S. Yes, I am an avid Star Wars fan. 😀

True Story

The struggle is REAL... can anyone else relate?
In all honesty, I truly do enjoy mornings, especially early ones when it seems as if the entire world is still sleeping, and all is at peace.
I have been rising early for many, many years now to have my 'quiet alone time'... time to drink my morning cup of coffee, read devotions, pray, catch up on work, and basically begin my day 'all to myself' before my husband and boys awake.
I personally relish the little bit of 'me time' in the morning, getting filled up with God's Word, and communing with Him before I spend my day pouring out into and for everyone else...
the coffee and silence are definitely added bonuses. 💕😊💕

What about you? Do you rise early in the morning for coffee & quiet? What do you like to do during your 'alone time'? Do share... I always love to hear from you!

Long Time No See...

Hello my lovelies...long time no see! Totally my fault, and for that I apologize sincerely!
Life on the homefront has been a chaotic whirlwind filled with tons of changes, stress, highs and lows, job loss, health issues, and much more...needless to say, dealing with it all has completely gotten in the way of posting anything blog related over the past six and half months.

This being said...I have missed you guys, and decided to try to give it another go.
They say the third time's the charm, but in this case we are going to keep our fingers crossed that the second time is the charm! Hoping you guys are still out there, and will stop back by for more of my musings and continued adventures! See you soon! :)
