From the Archives... J.Crew March 2008 Catalog

These images are from the J.Crew March 2008 catalog, and they were shot at the
Kaufmann Desert House in Palm Springs, CA. The cover pic above is one of my all-time favorites...
I love the way it shows J.Crew for the entire family, no matter the age.
I also love the styling, color palette, and choice of models they used back then, not to mention so many of the beautiful clothing pieces. πŸ’•

Do you remember this particular J.Crew catalog?
What do you think of the images in it? Did you purchase any of the clothing items offered back then? If so, do you still own them? Do tell! 😊

There's These Boys Who Stole My Heart...

Haha. I remember those exhausting days when my boys were little... seems like just yesterday, as a matter of fact. I still have a hard time believing that my oldest will soon be 21, and my youngest 13.

As I've said before, when I first had children, other moms would tell me that I should enjoy the time with them while they are little, because before I knew it, they would be all grown up. You know what? Those moms were right... time really DOES pass by so quickly! It may not seem that way when you are sleep deprived and overwhelmed caring for a new little person, kissing the scraped knee of one just learning to walk, keeping little hands out of everything they aren't supposed to be touching, and even dealing with temper tantrums at times, but trust me - those days will be gone before you know it. Please try your best to enjoy every moment... you will NOT regret it! 😊

Here are a few flashback photos of the boys who stole my heart...πŸ’•

Cooking Simplified: Tortilla Roll-Ups

Now that we are in full-on summer mode, recipes that don't require a lot of time, or turning on the oven are always on the top of my list. This recipe for Tortilla Roll-Ups fits the bill perfectly.
These roll-ups are quick and simple to make. They're always a family favorite and a big hit at parties, as well. There are different variations on this appetizer, but I happen to find this particular one extremely delicious, and I think you will, too! 😊

Ingredients:

1 Package Large Tortillas
1 8oz. Package Cream Cheese (Softened)
1 Cup Finely Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Small Can Chopped Black Olives
1 Small Can Chopped Green Chiles

Mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, black olives, and green chiles together then spread evenly onto the tortillas. Roll the tortillas then cut them into 3/4 inch slices. Refrigerate and serve chilled. (Salsa can be served along with the roll-ups if desired.)

That's it...super easy to make, and oh so delicious!
Let me know what you think if you decide to give them a try! πŸ’•πŸ˜Š

Simplified Style...Pretty Little Dresses

Pretty Little Dresses...I love them. They bring to mind images of Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O., Grace Kelly, and Elizabeth Taylor. A time of glamour and ultimate femininity for women... no desire to *borrow from the boys*, but to simply embrace the joy of being a girl, and all that goes with it.

I personally love wearing dresses...they make me feel extra feminine and girly. In most cases (depending on the dress) they can be just as comfortable as wearing pants or jeans, too.
It's really just a matter of getting used to wearing them on a regular basis, IMO. 😊

They range from day dresses, to party dresses, to maxidresses, and at all different price ranges, so if you're looking for one, there are many to choose from. πŸ’•
