From the Archives... J.Crew March 2008 Catalog
![]() |
These images are from the J.Crew March 2008 catalog, and they were shot at the Kaufmann Desert House in Palm Springs, CA. The cover pic above is one of my all-time favorites... I love the way it shows J.Crew for the entire family, no matter the age. I also love the styling, color palette, and choice of models they used back then, not to mention so many of the beautiful clothing pieces. π ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Do you remember this particular J.Crew catalog? Cooking Simplified: Tortilla Roll-Ups
![]() |
Now that we are in full-on summer mode, recipes that don't require a lot of time, or turning on the oven are always on the top of my list. This recipe for Tortilla Roll-Ups fits the bill perfectly. These roll-ups are quick and simple to make. They're always a family favorite and a big hit at parties, as well. There are different variations on this appetizer, but I happen to find this particular one extremely delicious, and I think you will, too! π Ingredients: 1 Package Large Tortillas 1 8oz. Package Cream Cheese (Softened) 1 Cup Finely Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1 Small Can Chopped Black Olives 1 Small Can Chopped Green Chiles Mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, black olives, and green chiles together then spread evenly onto the tortillas. Roll the tortillas then cut them into 3/4 inch slices. Refrigerate and serve chilled. (Salsa can be served along with the roll-ups if desired.) ![]() That's it...super easy to make, and oh so delicious! Let me know what you think if you decide to give them a try! ππ ![]() |

Simplified Style...Pretty Little Dresses
![]() |
Pretty Little Dresses...I love them. They bring to mind images of Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O., Grace Kelly, and Elizabeth Taylor. A time of glamour and ultimate femininity for women... no desire to *borrow from the boys*, but to simply embrace the joy of being a girl, and all that goes with it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I personally love wearing dresses...they make me feel extra feminine and girly. In most cases (depending on the dress) they can be just as comfortable as wearing pants or jeans, too. It's really just a matter of getting used to wearing them on a regular basis, IMO. π 2017... ![]() 2015... ![]() 2014... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 2012... ![]() Fortunately today there are many retailers offering pretty little dresses for those of us who do still love them and want to wear them. They range from day dresses, to party dresses, to maxidresses, and at all different price ranges, so if you're looking for one, there are many to choose from. π Take a peek at What I'm Loving... ![]() Image credit: myself & google |
